We Did It!

Today was our first day out in our big girl undies. We went to the new IHOP and had breakfast, and used the big girl pottie, then we went to Toys R Us and stopped looking around to go to the big girl pottie. After our nap we got all dressed up and went over to Jo Jo's to have a tea party and she went over there. Didn't wear any pull-ups all day and didn't have any accidents. Little bit is trained and oh so proud of herself. We had to call Mommy to tell her what a big girl she was.

However, all morning she missed her Mommy. She kept saying Mommy, Mommy, Mommy. I miss my Mommy. My heart was breaking for her. I know she wanted to see her Mommy so bad and there was nothing I could do to help her out. Then Mommy came and got her and she was so happy. You should have seen the look on her face. It lit up and had the biggest smile. It made me wept. I wish all Mommies could just leave work when their little ones want them so.

Tammy said it was because little bit slept in this morning and didn't have her Mommy play time. I hope she gets that time from now one because she sure misses it when she doesn't.

Growing Up

Boo Hoo, little Ms. Hannah is growing up.

I was in the kitchen and looked around and didn't see little bit. Went to find her and she had taken herself to our bathroom and sat on her potty and was taking the container to the big potty to pour it in and flush it.

I couldn't believe my eyes that she was doing it all by herself. Pretty soon she won't need me anymore.

Our Zoo Visit

I just had a blast going to the zoo with Hannah and my grandbabies, Landen and Leighton. I was just so appreciative to get to see their litle faces while they looked at all the animals and such. Wendy was the one behind the camera on most of the pics so poor thing didn't get many pictures of her because she was really sweet to take a lot of Hannah and me. Thanks Wendy.

Had to dress-up to go to the mall this evening with Mommy, Daddy and Gammy to see the Easter bunny. Hope they get her to sit and get pictures. Got this cute dress at Sears last week when they were having a 50% off sale on some clothes. I just think it is adorable. I love to buy clothes for her and dress her up. Told Rick, now I know what all the Mom's talk about with they have little girls. I think he feels the same. He is just so crazy about this little one. Still love my boys though.

Busy Baking

Well yesterday, little bit and I baked cookies during the mid-morning. She wore her little apron and helped me a lot, including helping me make a mess. She is such a little helper.

Hopefully Monday We Know

Waiting to see what Monday brings. If they extend the negotiations it might be another week before we know anything.

If you care - Please pray for us

Well it is getting down to the wire. We should know either this week or next what is in store for us. Rick's company is busy negotiating their contract and it isn't good. This will be an effect on us not just now but for 3 years time. They don't want to give any raises, or cost of living and want them to work either of 2 shifts - Monday - Thursday or Friday - Sunday. I know it sounds like the employees are being selfish but they made need to go on strike because this will have a effect on their lives for 3 years, even if the economy improves by the end of this year, we will be living has if it was a bad economy for 3 years following.

If they have to go on strike we will be living without any money coming in, except for what little I make. So please pray for the company and the employees to talk it out so everyone isn't suffering. There are already too many loses for people already, does there need to be more?

What Little Ones Enjoy?

I got little bit a little watering can and then filled up the fountain with water and she would dip her can in the fountain and go around and water all the plants. She had so much fun and couldn't believe she enjoyed doing with for over an hour. So cute.

Having Fun

Well Saturday we had the pleasure and honor of having Landen all day since Rick and Wendy had to go to Oklahoma. We started off the day letting him play for a time while Granddaddy and I were getting ready. Then off we were to Denny's for breakfast. After eating we were on the road again to go to th Children's Nature Science Museum in Fair Park. I don't know about Landen but we had a blast.

Even when we are with him we can't seem to get in any of the pics. LOL Oh well.

Then we headed back and stopped at Apetito's to eat Lunch/Dinner. And got home around 6:30 pm and played with playdough, etc. until he was picked up about 9:45 pm. What a day. Lots to remember and he was such a good little guy.

Peed in Potty

Well we tried on day long and 30 mins. ago we did it for the first time. She wore big girl panties all day and held it until I put on some pull-ups to go somewhere. It didn't work this time because we weren't leaving. Big girl. Hurray!

This Week

Well up to now it has been a very enjoyable week of playing outside. However, we can use the rain so I won't say too much about that. Can't wait for Saturday so we can play with Landen just hope it is pretty.

Having Fun

Well today I got the little Ms. her Jump-O-Lene out and she is having a blast.

Keeping Blood Pressure Up

It is pretty bad when you have to smoke to keep your blood pressure up. At 10:30 am today I was feeling a little light headed and took it and it was 116/65. Wonder what it would have been without smoking. Well 10 more pounds to go and I can quit taking the pills. Doctor was very pleased with Rick's and my weight loss. Told me that I was on a fabulous healthy diet that most diabetics should be on. So to keep up the good work.

Week of News

Well, can't seem to get my blood pressure stable and Rick's is way too high so we both have a doctors appointment Friday morning. Got to get blood work done otherwise we can't get any more meds. Oh well, didn't want to spend the money right now but have no choice. There goes a couple hundred dollars. Wish Rick's work had the co-pay insurance like they use to rather than the 80/20.

Can't wait for Landen's party Saturday. I am sooooo excited. Love you little boy.

Breathing Better

Well at least their was a meeting at Rick's work yesterday and they told them for the time being there will be no more layoffs for a while. That is good news and at least we can breathe a little easier. Now we just have to wait until we see what comes of the 3-year contract that they are working on. With the economy the way it is and even if it got better next year this contract will have an effect on our lives for the next 3 years. Positive thinking, positive thinking!

Economy Hitting Home

Well, it was just a matter of time before it came our way. Rick's work asked people to take a volunteer 90 day lay-off or just work 4 days a week (we can't afford either one) and to his and my surprise over 100 people took it. Now this week started the lay-offs and we pray it does come our direction again. Been through one layoff already. Rick said that they are having a big meeting on Thursday and not to be surprised it they take away some of what people are making per hour.

Anyway, hopefully we are ready for whatever is about to come our way and God will take care of us. We have been through hard times before were we have lived on beans and cornbread for weeks on end amoung other things.

We didn't do anything special for Valentine's since we already knew we were tightening our belts and didn't want to spend the money on something we really didn't need to so we just hung out with another couple and visited and had a nice time. Then we came home and laid in bed and watched some TV together. It was nice to have the peace and quiet and for us to just enjoy each other.

Oh well, we are still on our diet and I am down by 16 pounds now. Going to have to go back to the doctor and get my blood pressure medicine adjusted because it is too low I think. I have been getting dizzy and light headed and took it this morning and it was 88/74 without any meds so I didn't take any for now. I will keep a look at it until I can go back to the docs.

Don't plan on doing much this weekend but taking it easy. Love to all.
