Visited a new church this Sunday that is closer to home. In fact right across from our community on 380. Small church with maybe 20 people there this Sunday but I must say that you don't have to go to a big fancy church that you feel like a number and no one really knows your name to feel the Lord working. The music was wonderful and they sang probably 7 or 8 songs, then they had everyone stop to get a drink and just mingle and then it was on with the service. A little long because of all this, we didn't get out until 12:45 but I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the fellowship and that is what it is all about.
Next Sunday we are visiting a church behind Loew's off of 423.

Just a man, like you and me.
When he hung on the dogwood tree.
Feelings of pain, I know he felt.
When a blow from that spear was dealt.
Beaten and thirsty, hanging there.

Son of God he had no link.
Dressed in purple, crowned with thorns.
Was the raiment he was adorned.

He let them, willingly, without a word.

Words were said for men amiss.
He could have brought them to their knees.
But he knew life's sacrifice was the key.
He looked ahead into time.
Right down into this heart of mine.
He saw promise in my life.
That's why he gave up, without strife.
On the third day he rose again.
Eager to fulfill his Father's plan.
How much he loves us, we fail to see.
He stretched his arms out, and died for me.
I saw this and thought it was too beautiful not to share.
